Campus Move Announcement

Dear Students,

As COVID-19 continues to threaten the lives of many in our communities forcing us to rethink how we do business and where we do business, SCOTS has decided to move to another campus and to a more COVID-safe location in terms of social distancing and hygiene.

Just a 5-minute walk from Redfern Station, the new campus is situated in South Eveleigh, one of Sydney’s most vibrant and dynamic areas surrounded by ultra-modern buildings and gorgeous grass lands featuring tennis and basketball courts, a barbecue area, scooter parks and playground equipment.   The campus area makes it easier for the students to social-distance and enjoy outdoor activities during breaks and before or after class.

SCOTS’ new campus offers state-of-the-art facilities; spacious classrooms, new computers, a modern kitchen with fridges and microwaves, a comfy student lounge and spanking-clean restrooms – all is surely to impress.

The date set for the move to the new location is Monday, September 28, 2020.

A school excursion will be arranged by your teachers to take you on a tour of the new campus on the 11th of September, at 09:00 AM for Day students and at 4:30 PM for Evening students. You will meet your teacher at Redfern Station and together walk to the new campus.

In celebrating the opening of the new campus, your teacher will throw a ‘Barbie’ right in front of the new campus in the open air. Due to the current NSW restrictions on outdoor public gatherings (20 max), each class will ‘barbecue’ at a different time as follows:

We, teachers and staff, are very optimistic and hopeful, despite the tragic impact that COVID has had on the lives of many, that the future is what we make it, and we are determined to make it bright for us and our students. We are big believers in the human potential; in the ability to turn adversity into an advantage, tragedy into an opportunity. Together, we will bounce back and thrive.

We also understand that, as with any change, moving to a new location could be concerning to some. So, if you have any questions regarding this announcement, please feel free to talk to us – to your teachers, Students Services Officers or Director of Studies, we are all more than happy to listen to your concerns and answer all your questions.

Yours sincerely,

Patrick Hayeck

Director of Studies
